Elkader Register, Thur., 23 May 1907. Strawberry Point column.

Saturday night at Oelwein occurred the death of Breth Kutschat, wife of August Kutchat, at her home in Oelwein, Iowa. The remains were brought here for interment, the funeral being held at the German Lutheran church here at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Zimmerman, of Oelwein, in charge.

(Note: An apparent reference to Bertha Kutchat, 1875 - 11 May 1907, shown in WPA records as buried in Strawberry Point cemetery. The article is presented as published. Surname spelling both Bertha & her husband August's death certificates is Kutschat. Her birth certificate gives father's surname as Struckman)
