The funeral of Mrs. Patrick Penneton, of Highland twp., was held at St. Joseph's church Saturday morning, largely attended by friends and neighbors. Her death was by old age and from injuries received in being thrown out of a wagon. Last week Mr. and Mrs. Penneton were returning from a funeral at Volga, when a spring broke and they both were thrown out on to the frozen ground. Mr. Penneton was also severely injured but was able to attend the funeral. Deceased was over 75 years of age.

(Note: WPA records indicate that this article is an apparent reference to Catherine Penneton, 1828 - 1906, buried in St. Joseph cemetery.)
