The remains of Mrs. Delos Burget were brought here Monday morning from Oakdale and the funeral occurred Tuesday afternoon at the County Corners Church conducted by Rev. Smith. Interment took place in the County Corners cemetery.

Miss Regina Blanche Benson was born in Fayette county, Dec. 14, 1886, and died at Oakdale June 6, 1920. Feb. 27, 1907 she was united in marriage to Delos Burget.

After their marriage they made their home in the same neighborhood on a farm west of town. A little over a year ago she was taken sick with the flu which late developed into tuberculosis. Last March she entered the sanitarium at Oakdale in hopes of obtaining relief, but to no avail, and she passed away Sunday.

Besides her husband, four small children, Evelyn, Fay, Robert and Bernadeen, she leaves her parents Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Benson, of Oelwein and one sister, Mrs. Jim Dittmer, of Oelwein, to mourn her loss.

~Elkader Register, Thursday, June 10, 1920 (Strawberry Point column)

Note: The obit of her husband Delos (1876-1962), states she was his first wife. Nickname was Genie.
