Calista Agness Wareham was born in Read township, Clayton county, Iowa, August 15th, 1879, and passed away March 2nd, 1916, at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. F. Badgreow, at Iowa Falls, aged nearly 37 years.

June 12th, 1910, she was united in marriage to Ed Goheen of West Virginia. To this union was born one little son, Russell, aged three years. She is survived by her grief-stricken husband and child, father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. George Wareham, of this place, four sisters, Mrs. Fred Heiden, of Read; Mrs. F. J. Badgreow; Mrs. Con Miller, of Davenport, Iowa; Florence, at home; four brothers, Geo., of Oldham. S.D.; John and Marie La Con, of Iowa Falls, and Francis, at home. She is preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Funeral services were held at St. Marie's Catholic Church, Saturday morning, March 4th, at ten o'clock. Requiem mass was said by Rev. Father Monogue, of Iowa Falls, and her body was laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery there. Beautiful flowers, the offerings of relatives and friends, mark the spot where rests all that is mortal of Calista Agnes Goheen.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. George Wareham and daughter Florence, of Elkader; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Goheen, Sr. , of West Virginia; George and John Wareham, of Oldham, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Morrisey, of Charlton, Iowa; George Wareham, of Eldora, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Con Miller, of Davenport, Iowa.- Democrat.
