Caroline A. Renwick was born at Elgin, Ill., March 15th, 1845. At the age of nine she moved with her parents to Strawberry Point, which place continued to be her home for fourteen years. On November 15th, 1868, she was united in marriage to Frank May. Her married life was spent in Waverly, Sioux Rapids and Rockford, Iowa. On November 25th, 1880, Mr. May was called in death. She continued to make her home in Sioux Rapids until her marriage with Mortimer Hallett in 1885. After his death she made her home with her uncle, George Renwick, in Elgin, Ill., and cared for him tenderly through a long and serious illness. After his death she spent several years nursing. Since her health would not permit her to follow this profession she has made her home with her sisters, Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Eaton, passing away on Friday morning.

Mrs. Hallett Dies in the Point
Caroline A. Renwick was born at Elgin, Illinois, March 15, 1845, and died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Nellie Eaton, February 18, 1916.When but a child she came wit her parents to Strawberry Point. November 15, 1868, she was united in marriage to Frank May who passed away on November 25, 1880. In 1885 she was married to Mortimer Hallett.
After this she made her home in Elgin, Illinois, for several years. For the past few years she has been in poor health and has made her home with Mrs. Moore at Spencer, Iowa, and Mrs. Nellie Eaton of this place. For the past three weeks she had been confined to her bed and passed away peacefully to the great beyond Friday morning.
Her sister, Mrs. Moore and nephew, F.E. Moore, of Spencer and a niece, Miss Blanche Eaton, of Dubuque were in attendance at the funeral. The body was taken to Waverly for interment.
