James C. Hunt died on his farm on Tuesday, February 15th, after an illness of several months duration, death being caused by gangrene. Mr. Hunt was an old settler here, coming to Iowa in 1850. He was married in 1872, his wife preceding him in death on November 7th, 1878. James Hunt was born in Morgan Town, W.Va., on January 6th, 1845, and came west five years later. He leaves to mourn his death his only son, Ed, and one brother, Henry, of Seattle, Wash. He was buried at Mount Harmony, Thursday, Rev. Strother Hansel officiating.
