Mary Ann Fallon died at her home in Garnavillo, Monday morning, January 3rd, 1916, aged past 61 years, death being due to dropsy. She had been ill for several months and death came as a blessed relief from long, but patient suffering, during which time loving sisters ministered to her wants.
Deceased is survived by five sisters, namely: Mrs. Edward Krauel and Mrs. Thomas Donahue, of Elkader, Mrs. Joseph Auer and Mrs. Edward Auer, of Garnavillo, and Miss Ellen Fallon, of Garnavillo, with whom she made her home. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Fallon and one brother, Michael J., have answered the summons of the grim reaper.
Funeral services were conducted last Wednesday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic church, of which she had always been a devout and faithful member. The pastor, Rev. Father Raedler, officiated at the services, and interment was made in the parish cemetery.
The pall bearers were: Herman Berns, Ed Haggert, Oscar Claus, Oscar Auer, James Meehan and Mr. Miller.
The sympathy of many friends throughout the county is extended to the bereaved relatives.
