Mrs. Anna Marie Luipold Lamparter was born on the 28th of November in the year of 1828 at Bergfeld, Kingdom of Wuerttemberg. In 1852 she was united in marriage to Henry Lamparter. To this union 12 children were born, of which four preceded her in death, Mrs. Louisa Lesch, Mrs. Lizzie Tucker and two who died in infancy. She leaves to mourn her death Mrs. Mary Stewart, of Waterloo, Iowa; Mrs. Caroline Mienzer, of Burt, Iowa; Mrs. Katy Hoehn, of Strawberry Point; Mrs. Anna Wilcox, of Arlington; Mrs. Minnie Blake, of Strawberry Point; Henry Lamparter, living in Missouri; John, of Amsted, Minn.; and Gottfried, of Glenwood, Iowa. In 1856 the deceased and her husband emigrated to this country, locating at Schenectady, N.Y. In 1867 they came to St. Sebald, Iowa, and some time later they purchased a small farm a few miles north of Strawberry Point. Here they remained until the death of Mr. Lamparter in 1903. Since then she has made her home with her respective daughters. She passed away on Tuesday, December21st, at 8 p.m. at the ripe age of 87 years and 23 days. The funeral services were held in the Lutheran church at Strawberry Point on Friday, December 24th. Interment at the Strawberrry Point cemetery.
