On Wednesday, May 17th, 1916, at the home of her mother, Mrs. Louise Walter, in this city, occurred the death of Miss Hilda L. Walter, after an illness of about three months and at the age of 13 years and 3 months. Deceased was born at Guttenberg, Iowa, on February 17th, 1903. She had been ailing for about three months and everything possible was done for her to ward off death, but all failed. She was a kind and loving daughter, sister and friend. Her death is deeply mourned by her mother, three brothers and a large number of relatives and friends, by whom she will be sadly missed. Her father preceded her in death six years ago. Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran Church in this city on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Interment will be made in the City Cemetery.
