Christina Sophia Werges was born on December 3rd, 1866, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Casper Werges, and died at the family home on September 24th, 1916. Deceased had the advantages of a good education in school and in church and in 1881 was confirmed by Rev. Feurtenicht. Her entire life was spent in attending to the wants and comforts of her parents. Death robbed her of her father in 1903. Her death came after an illness of but a few days. She leaves to mourn her death her aged mother, four brothers, Henry, William, Fred and Edward, and three sisters, Maggie and Anna and Mrs. Mary Schulte, besides numerous relatives and friends. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon with services at St. Paul's Church, Rev. Braun officiating.
