Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 7 Sept. 1916. Strawberry Point column.
Word was received here Monday that George, son of E. E. Bartlett, of this place, was drowned at Redfield, S.D., Sunday. His father being in Revere, Wis., on business, was notified, and left at once for the scene of the accident. It is supposed that the body will be brought to Manchester for burial.
(Note: WPA records indicate George Bartlett is buried in Strawberry Point cemetery, on the Gleason lot.)
