Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 31 Aug. 1916. McGregor column.
Mrs. O. M. Buck passed away at her home in Methodist Hollow, Sunday morning at 8 o'clock. While Mrs. Buck has been in very poor health for years her death came as a shock. She had been a resident of McGregor for many years.
She was a devout member of the Methodist Church all her life and for many years acted as organist. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to those who were in trouble.
Mrs. Buck leaves a husband, two sons and one daughter, viz; Fred, living in Missouri; Ernst, of Sioux City, and Gladys at home.
Mrs. Buck was a member of long standing of Bluff City Chapter of the Eastern Star, that organization going in a body to pay the last respects of a departed sister. The services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home, Rev. Peddicord officiating. The floral offerings were beautiful.
(Note: The Iowa Gravestone Photo Project, on this site, shows a gravestone photo for Orville M. Buck in the Pleasant Grove cemetery.)
