Christopher Mathew Boland.
Christopher Boland passed away at his home in Highland township at 10:30, Sunday morning, July 2nd, death being due to a complication of diseases.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Boland and was born at Littleport, Iowa, on December 18th, 1861, and when about five years of age moved with his family to the Boland homestead in Highland township, where he peacefully passed away as above stated.
On February 20th, 1900, he was united in marriage at Volga City to Miss Mary Bergan. Eight children were born to this union, viz: Joseph, Margaret, Marles, John, James, Lucy, Edward and Raphael, who, with the mother, survive him. He is also survived by two brothers, J. P. Boland and T. A. Boland, also of Highland township.
The funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St. Joseph's Church, Rev. J. F. Reilly officiating, with interment in St. Joseph's cemetery.
