The death, in North McGregor, on Monday last, of Nettie Allen, daughter of Thos. Allen, a bright and beautiful child of 12 years, created a deep feeling of sorrow among the people of the place.

The teachers and scholars of the public school, of which she was an ornament, attended the funeral in a body, thus attesting their high esteem for the memory of one of their brightest members.
