Liviona McKinney was born in Latory, Missouri, June 18, 1860, and died March 18 at her home in Great Falls, Montana, at the age of 50 years and 9 months. She moved from Missouri to Iowa at an early age, with her parents, and settled in Clayton County. In the year of 1878 she was united in marriage to William E. Brown, of Colesburg, Ia., and to them were born nine children, four passing to the better home beyond at infancy. They resided in Clayton County until the year of 1905, when they moved to Edgeley, N.D., for her health and not seeming to improve, they went to Great Falls, Mont., five months ago. She was in the best of health she had been for years, until the time of her death.

Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her death five children: Thomas E. Brown, Emma Davis, Minerva Jones, all of Great Falls, Mont.; Lizzie Gilson and Eva Gibbins, of Edgeley, N.D.; nine grandchildren, one brother, Will McKinney, of Marion, N.D., three sisters, Mrs. Harwick, of Elizabeth, Ill.; Mrs. Chas. Adams, of Volga City; and Mrs. F. Hines, of Alpena, S.D.
