C. B. Roe, father of Mrs. J. F. Nace of this place, died Wednesday morning at 5:30 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Nace, at Hotel Franklin. Mr. Roe came here about the 1st of December for the purpose of spending the winter with his daughter but old age shortened his visit considerable and he peacefully passed away at the date above stated. He was 85 years of age. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Friday afternoon, Dec. 30th, at 1:30 o'clock.
