Giard, Ia - Mrs. Anna A. Welch, 91, a lifelong resident of the Giard area, died Monday at a McGregor, Ia., hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm. Thursday at the Giard Methodist Church, with burial in the Giard Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Thornberg Funeral Home, McGregor.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marcella Miller, Giard; and Mrs. DeElla Kadlec, McGregor; two sons, Lloyd, Giard; and Milton, Tacoma, Wash; seven grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Jessie Adams, Waukon, Ia.

Note: she is nee Douglass and w/o Charles Welch who died in 1941. A news article announcing her 89th birthday was in the Telegraph-Herald Sept. 15, 1963 and gave the additional information that she was "born in Waukon, Sept. 6, 1874"
