ROHDE, BEYER, LENTH, WITH, LORCHERT, HINZPETER

Friday occurred the death of our aged and respected townsman, Christian Rohde, who had suffered for some time from several ailments and with old age and its infirmities the flesh could no longer endure and the spirit took its flight to its Redeemer.

Grandpa Rohde was known to all as an honest, upright hard working man, respected by all, as was shown in the large concourse of friends who came from near and far to attend the funeral obsequies, which were held Sunday at M.E. church, at 2 p.m., services conducted by Rev. Graening, pastor of the Lutheran church at Monona, the funeral in charge of D.F.Bickel.

Deceased attained the ripe old age of 79 years, and leaves Grandma and four daughters, Mrs. F. Beyer and Mrs. John Lenth of this place, Mrs. Fred With of Bismarck, and Mesdames Lorchert and Hinzpeter of Chicago to mourn his loss.
