Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 6 July 1911.

Ernest Emil Wagner was born in this township July 12th, 1873, and died July 4th, 1911, at the age of 37 years, 11 months and 23 days.

On November 4th, 1903, he was united in marriage to Emma Jessie Dinges, to which union four children were born, of whom one, a daughter, preceded the father in death.

Mr. Wagner spent the greater portion of his life in this vicinity and enjoyed the respect, and confidence of his neighbors and friends and the love of his family, and his passing is deeply deplored among his acquaintances.

Besides his wife and children he leaves to mourn his loss, four brothers and three sisters, besides a number of cousins and lesser kindred.

The funeral services were held this afternoon at the residence in this township, Rev. C. R. Franke officiating. Interment in the East Side cemetery, the Elkader Yeomen, of which lodge he was a member, taking charge of the services at the grave.
