Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 1 June 1911. Strawberry Point column.

Friedrich Schneider, son of Friedrich and Kathrina Schneider, was born April 29, 1848, at Jodlanchen, East Prussia, and died Monday, May 15th, 1911, at 4:30 p.m,, aged 63 years and 16 days. In 1873 he emigrated to America, locating to St. Sebald, where he found employment on different farms. Afterwards purchased a farm there, on which he lived until 8 years prior to his death, Since then he has lived on his place near town. He was married Oct. 16, 1877, to Margaretha Eder, also of St. Sebald, who survives him. Two children were born to them but both died in infancy. One adopted daughter, Mrs. Clara Reimath mourns his loss.
