On Tuesday afternoon occurred the death of Mrs. Chas. Jungk, after a lingering illness with that dreaded disease consumption. Mrs. Jungk was born at Ceres April 6th, 1876, and was 35 years, 7 months and 29 days of age at the time of her death. She was married to Chas. Junk, of Guttenberg, Nov. 6th, 1902, where she lived until her death. Besides her husband and three daughters, her parents, (Dietrich Duwe and wife), 6 brothers, (John, William, Edward, Matt, Dietrich and Christ Duwe), and 2 sisters, (Mrs. Geo. Wolter and Mrs. C. W. Scholz), all of Guttenberg, mourn her untimely departure deeply. The funeral was held from the residence of Dietrich Duwe, Saturday afternoon, at 1 o'clock with services at the Lutheran Church, after which the remains were laid to rest in the City Cemetery, Rev. Janzig, of the Lutheran Church, officiating.
