From the Orchard (Neb.) News we learn of the death of Mrs. F. L. Tiede at her home near that city, recently. The friends of the family in this section will be sorry to hear of her death and will sympathize with them in their bereavement.

"Hannah Catharine Dorthea Becker was born in Alt Kranzelin, Mecklenburg, Germany, April 29, 1843, and died at Orchard, Nebraska, November 2, 1911, aged 68 years, 6 months and 3 days.

She was married to F. L. Tiede March 24th, 1865, at Garnavillo, Clayton county, Iowa, and to this union six children were born, all of whom are living, viz: Mrs. Alvina Murphy, of Plainview; Mrs. Minnie Harmon and Mrs. Bertha Brewster, of Orchard; Fred W., Sarah and Mahala, who still live at home.

She leaves to mourn, a husband, six children, one brother - William Becker, of Talmage, Nebraska; two sisters - Mrs. Minnie Rogman, of Orchard, and Mrs. Bertha Hudson, of Garnavillo, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In early life the deceased was baptized and confirmed in the German Lutheran church of her native land, and was a faithful member until the end.

Mrs. Tiede, with her husband and family, located on the farm adjoining Orchard which is still their home, in April, 1886, coming from Iowa. During their residence here they have stood high in the esteem of the community and the sympathy of all goes out to the family in this hour of bereavement.

Funeral services were conducted at the home on Sunday, Nov. 5th, by Rev. G. W. Mills, of the United Brethren church, of Orchard. Interment was made in the Orchard cemetery, the casket containing all that was mortal of Mrs. Tiede being borne to the last resting place by six old friends of the family."
