Relatives in this city on Friday received a message stating that John Kossuth, a former long time, highly respected resident of Guttenberg had passed away at a hospital at El Reno, Oklahoma, on last Thursday. Deceased was born in Guttenberg, Iowa, where he was successfully engaged in business for many years. He was married here to Miss Anna Enders, who preceded him in death several years ago. In the year 1900 Mr. Kossuth and family went to El Reno, Oklahoma, to reside, where he spent the remainder of his life. Mr. Kossuth was a man of a pleasing personality and was a kind and true father, brother and friend. He was familiarly known here as Jumbo Kossuth. His death is deeply mourned by three sons, John, Edward and William; three daughters, Emma, Millie and Alma; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Cassutt, of Guttenberg, and Mrs. John Cassutt, of Seattle, Wash., and numerous other relatives and friends who will all sadly miss this good man. The funeral was held at El Reno on Saturday morning, with services at the Catholic church of that city.
