Mrs. Carrie Oleson, died at the residence of her son, Nels Oleson, in Wagner township, on the 6th inst., at the advanced age of 82 years. Deceased was an old resident of this county and highly respected in the vicinity where she lived.

She was the mother of Sarney and Nels Oleson.

The funeral occurred on Tuesday of last week, and she was buried at the Wagner cemetery.

1870 U.S. census Wagner twp.: Caroline Oleson, age 71, is living in the household of Cinna Oleson, age 4? & his wife Isabell plus 4 children. Also in household is Nels Oleson, age 2?. (There is a mark covering part of the age of Cinna & Nels making it difficult to read the ages - Cinna probably is the son Sarney named in her obit)

1880 U.S. census Wagner twp.: Carrie Oleson, age 81, is living in the household of her son Nils Oleson (age 39), his wife Lena plus 4 children.
