Edwin Hebron, son of Christiana and William Hebron, was born at the family home in Richland township on April 8, 1858, and departed this life at 11:30 p.m., April 16, 1926. The deceased was a home loving man, and remained with his parents at their farm home until their demise. In the year 1901 he was united in marriage to Mathilda Gentz and they continued to reside at the home of his childhood where he was a progressive farmer, a good citizen and a loyal friend and neighbor, always spreading good cheer. In the year 1907 they moved to Strawberry Point where they have since resided. Besides his wife he leaves the following relatives to mourn his death: one sister, Mrs. Japh Ball of Arlington, Iowa; four brothers, Henry, Edward and Stephen living in South Dakota and John Hebron of Fergus Falls, Minnesota; one sister, Mrs. Richard Laity having preceded him in death. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. George W. Turner at the Methodist church on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment took place in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
