Elkader Register, Thur., 11 Feb. 1926. Strawberry Point column.

The death of Miss Gladys Davis occurred at the Finley hospital in Dubuque last Sunday evening. Miss Davis was taken there a week ago for an operation for appendicitis and suffered untold agony until death relieved her. The remains were brought here (missing word). Miss Davis was born on a farm near here Oct 8, 1870, and has spent her entire life at this place. She was a member and earnest worker of the M.E. church. She is survived by four brothers and two sisters, W. D. Davis and B. J. Davis of Edgewood and O. R. Davis of this place and A. M. Davis of Cartersville, Mon., and Miss Mary Davis of Strawberry Point, Mrs. Mabel Sheppard of Red Oak, besides other relatives. Funeral services will occur at the home this afternoon (Wednesday).
