David G. Molumby passed away at his home in Ramona, S.D., on Thursday, January 14th. He had been a sufferer from heart trouble since the last fall.
He was born in Boston, Mass., Nov. 3, 1855, and had reached the age of seventy years, two months and eleven days at the time of his death. His parents were Thomas and Ann Molumby of Boston.
Coming west with other members of the family many years ago he lived in Clayton county for some years, going to South Dakota from here in 1882.
He was married to Miss Anna Tobin at Badus, S.D., and six sons and five daughters survive.
He is also mourned by his brothers, John K. of Elkader and Frank, and his sister Sarah of Elkader, Agnes and Mrs. Maher of Chicago.
Funeral services were held at the Catholic church at Ramona on Saturday with Rev. Father Ryan officiating and burial was in the Ramona cemetery. His six sons were pall bearers. J. K. Molumby attended from here and Miss Agnes Molumby from Dubuque.
