GUTTENBERG: Louis Ball, 67 years old, former long-time resident of Guttenberg, died at the county home near Elkader, Sept. 20th. Deceased was born on a farm in Jefferson township, Oct. 23, 1865, where he grew to manhood. Forty years ago he was married to Miss Minnie Tannenbring, who with several children, preceded him in death. The body was brought to Guttenberg for burial Wednesday of last week and laid to rest in the city cemetery. The Rev. James Sopko, pastor of St. Paul's United Lutheran church of Guttenberg, officiated at the grave. Mr. Ball was engaged in business in Guttenberg at various times. He is survived by one brother and three sisters.
