Clayton County Register, Thur., 8 Sept. 1932. Guttenberg column.
John W. Moore, life-long resident of Clayton county, died suddenly of heart trouble Saturday evening at the Matt Adams home near Turkey River, where he had been on a visit. He was 52 years old and had been in poor health for a time previous to his death. Mr. Moore was born May 16, 1880, at Turkey River, Iowa, in which community he spent his entire life. He was engaged in farming for many years. His wife, whose maiden name was Haberman, preceded him in death several years ago. Mr. Moore was a man of a pleasing personality and was held in high regard by all who had the pleasure of making his acquaintance during life. He also attended the Guttenberg schools. His death is deeply mourned by two sons, several sisters, one brother and many other relatives and friends, who will all sadly miss him. The body was taken to Cassville (Wisconsin) for burial, where the funeral was largely attended.
