The body of a man approximately 60 years of age was found along the Mississippi river bank about five miles south of North Buena Vista Monday evening and the find was reported to Coroner Leslie Oelke here.

Coroner Oelke went to the spot where the body was found Tuesday morning, but because the body was badly decomposed, identification was not established until yesterday morning through the aid of a 1930 chauffer's license tag, which bore the number 5582. Identity was established through the automobile license department in Des Moines.

This chauffer tag was issued to E. F. Hennesy of Manchester. Hennesy, it will be recalled, disappeared from Manchester late last fall or early last winter and was traced as far as Guttenberg, where his deserted car was found. After that no trace could be found of him.

The body found Monday evening was clothed in B.V.D., wool underwear, striped shirt, khaki pants, blue serge coat and vest, knit tie and an overcoat. Being dressed as it was in winter clothes, it is supposed that he met his death during cold weather and that the body was in the water since that time.

Besides the chauffer tag a pair of glasses and a gold watch were found on the body. The remains were brought here yesterday afternoon and taken from here to Manchester, where the deceased lived prior to his disappearance, and where he drove a taxi.
