Mrs. John Putzier died at her home in Read township last Wednesday evening, following a lingering illness and much suffering.
She was born January 13, 1890, in Volga township, a daughter of Fred and Anna Steinfadt. She was one of a family of nine children. She was married September 28, 1909, to John H. Putzier and this union was blessed with four sons, Orville, Lloyd, Dale and Vincent. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church, with Rev. Harder officiating. Deceased leaves as survivors her husband, four sons, her mother, three brothers, Arthur, Fred and Alvin; five sisters, Mrs. Alvina Barnhart, Mrs. Anna Dodge, Mrs. Elsa Miller and Mrs. Laura Baker, all of Colesburg, and Mrs. Tillie Behenken of Eyota, Minn., besides many other relatives and friends.
