Clayton County Register, Thur., 14 July 1932.

Mrs. Anna Knappe died in Independence, Iowa, June 30, following an illness of two years' duration at the age of 77 years, two months and 21 days.

The deceased was born May 9, 1855, in Lemfoerde, Holstein, Germany. October, 1882, she was married to Wilhelm Knappe and to this union one daughter, Mrs. Gottfried Hermann, was born.

Mr. and Mrs. Knappe came to America in 1912, since which time they have resided in this county.

Funeral services were held in Clayton Center last Sunday afternoon with the Rev. B. Korte officiating.
