Millie Ida Elizabeth Meese, daughter of Edward Meese and his wife, Anna nee Bente, was born March 17, 1910, at Edgewood, Clayton county, Iowa. She died after a very short illness June 7, 1932.
The deceased was at home most all her life. After she graduated from the high school at Littleport, she went to Chicago, and worked there for two years. She then returned and took up a course in beauty culture at Dubuque. She graduated, finishing this course in May and returned to her home. She was looking for a place which she could locate in this profession.
The deceased was a fine person and respected by all and the community was shocked when word was spread that Miss Minnie had passed away. She leaves to mourn her sudden passing her dear parents; one brother, Oscar, of Edgewood; four sisters, Adeline, Leona and Margaret of Edgewood and Elsie of Chicago, besides other relatives and friends who mourn her early passing. She reached the age of 22 years, two months and 20 days.
Funeral services were held June 9, 1932, at 1:30 at the home and at 2:00 at the English Lutheran Hope church of Littleport, burial in the Union cemetery, the Rev. F. E. Damm in charge.
