Clayton County Register, Thur., 9 Jun. 1932.
Arno Schievelbein, who died in the McGregor hospital at 10:30 p.m. Monday, May 30th, as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident, was born in Clayton Center, December 25th, 1898, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schievelbein.
He spent his boyhood in Clayton Center, where he was confirmed, March 31, 1912. After that he worked at various places but during the last ten years he has made his home with his brother, Harry and family on the farm. He was well beloved by his friends because of his never-ceasing humor and good nature.
Those mourning his sudden death are his brother, Harry and family, Read township; his sister, Mrs. Lester Oelke and family, Farmersburg township, and other relatives.
His parents and two brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held last Thursday, June 2, from the late home and in Zions Lutheran church in Clayton Center, the Rev. B. F. Korte officiating. Because of his large and favorable acquaintance and his sudden and tragic death, the attendance at the last rites was one of the largest ever held in Clayton Center. At the close of the sermon almost a thousand people filed through the church in last tribute. Interment was made in the new cemetery.
(Note: See the obit of Limbeck, Carl Died 1932 for an account of the accident.)
