Wilhelmine Schroeder was born in Jefferson township July 16, 1865, and after a long period of suffering died at her home in this city Sunday evening.

She was united in marriage to Wm. Borcherding, Jr., February 9, 1887. She is survived by her husband and three children, Alma, Clarence and Ernie; six brothers, Herman A., August F. and Louis Schroeder, of Guttenberg, John H. Schroeder of Monona, Fred and Edward Schroeder of Postville and one sister, Mrs. Sophia Krueger of Spencer, S.D., who have the profound sympathy of their friends.

Deceased had been a faithful wife and loving mother and a good woman in every sense while suffering from cancer.

All that medical skill and loving care could do was done to prolong life. Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon in St. John's Lutheran church conducted by Rev. J. Janzig. Her remains were laid to rest in the City cemetery. A large number of relatives and friends out of the city attended the funeral.
