Clayton County Register, Thur., 14 Jan. 1932.

Walter Meis, 27, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Meis of Dubuque, died suddenly in the George Katschkowsky home here Tuesday evening, January 12th, at 6:45 p.m.

deceased had been a guest in the Katschkowsky home here since Sunday, when he was taken ill. Tuesday his condition became serious and he finally passed away at the hour already mentioned.

Mr. Meis had been a traveling salesman for the International Harvester Co. for the past ten years and he was well known in his territory. Besides his parents, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Henry Morgan, of Oak Park, Ill.

Tentative plans are that the funeral will be held from St. Patrick's church in Dubuque tomorrow morning.
