Elkader Register, Thur., 7 Jan. 1932.

Mary Jane Knee, nee Washburn, was born July 30, 1845, in Rhode Island, and died Jan. 1, 1932, at Delhi, Iowa., at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 2 days.

She was united in marriage to John H. Knee at Colesburg, Iowa, in 1862. To this union five children were born, three of whom died in infancy. She leaves two sons, Ira F. Knee of Omaha, Neb., and Wm. E. Knee of Milwaukee, Wis., seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, to mourn her passing

Funeral service was held at the Colesburg M.E. church Sunday, January 3, at 1:00 p.m. Interment was made at the Brown cemetery.

Misses Imogene Kuhlman and Wilma Bolsinger sang.
