Fred Rodas, a resident of Elk twp., aged 77 years, died Monday after a lingering illness. Mr. Rodas was an honorable man and his death is mourned by a large circle of friends. The funeral took place Wednesday. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in their sad affliction.

DIED- On Monday morning at his home, Frederick Rodas, at the age of 74 years. He was born in Schweren, Mecklenberg, on April 8th, 1827. He came to America in May 18_6 (Looks like 1856.) and lived near Rochester, N.Y., until 1878 when he came here, where he lived until his death.
In Sept. 1856 he was united in marriage with Marie Winkstein. To this union were born ten children, five of whom, with their mother, survive him.
The funeral was held in Hall's school house and the interment took place in Hall's cemetery, Rev. Hellbig officiating. May he rest in peace.
