Elkader Register, Thur., 24 Jan. 1901. Strawberry Point column.

The death of Mr. Dillon occurred last Tuesday evening. The funeral services were here at the Catholic church Friday conducted by Rev. Father Rowe. The death of Mrs. Dillon occurred Friday evening and the funeral services were held at the Catholic church Sunday, Rev. Rowe officiating. This aged couple were honored and respected by all who knew them, and since death has entered the home and taken them from it their memory still lingers with us. They leave several children and grandchildren besides hosts of friends to mourn their death.

(Note: WPA records list them as Bartholomew Dillon, 1822 - 15 Jan. 1901, and Rosanna Dillon, 1828 - 19 Jan. 1901. Both buried in Strawberry Point cemetery.)
