Wach died at his Littleport home Monday evening, Feb. 2, following a year's illness from cancer. He was born December 26, 1874, in Tachau, Austria, and came to this country with his uncle when he was a young man.

In 1915 they purchased a small farm near Littleport and made it their home until last summer, when their house was destroyed by fire. Following the fire the aged couple moved to Littleport.

Besides his wife, Wach is survived by six sons and one daughter. They are: Norbert of Marquette, Joseph of Guttenberg, Albert who is a patient at the Veterans Hospital at Iowa City, Raymond, Emil and Leo, all of Waterloo, and Mrs. Johanna Hamlett of Elkader.
