Services for Mrs. Alma B. Thiese, 61, were held Friday at Guttenberg. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Bruening of Volga, Mrs. Thiese died last Tuesday at Boulder, Colo., after a two-weeks illness of yellow jaundice and other complications.

She taught in the Oelwein schools 15 years and moved to Boulder in 1943, where she had been teaching.

Surviving are one daughter and one grandchild in Boulder; one sister, Mrs. Otto Thiese, Guttenberg, and one brother, Clarence Bruening of Rockford, Ill. Her husband and parents preceded her in death.
