Funeral services were held for Rudolph Jaster Nov. 6 at Elkport, with the Rev. Herold Heupel, Elkader, officiating.
Rudolph Wilhen Henry Jaster was born Sept. 2, 1882, at Garber, son of Mr. ad Mrs. August Jaster, and died after a lingering illness Nov. 3, 1959.
He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Elkport.
Mr. Jaster was married to Wilhelmina Fritz at Elkport Sept. 25, 1907. He farmed near Elkport and in 1940 retired and moved to Elkport.
He is survived by his wife and five sons, Arthur, Albert, and Martin, Elkport, and LuVern and Marvin, Strawberry Point; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Louie Fritz, Elkport, and Mrs. Emma Smock, Garber, and a brother, John Jaster, Elkport.
Burial was at Mt. Harmony cemetery. Pallbearers were George Gifford, Lawrence Waterman, Robert Hafner, Lawrence Muller, John Thein and Frank Reimer.
Out-of-town relatives who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Kelly, Cedar Rapids, and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wentz, Monona.
