SPENCE, FINNEGAN

Died at her home in Garnavillo township, on Tuesday October 20th, after a long sickness, Mrs. Mary A. Spence. Deceased was a native of New York, where she was born about fifty-five years ago.

In 1845, she came to Clayton county with her parents, and has resided here continuously since that time.

She was married to Mr. Spence, who died some seven years ago. There are left two children, a son at home and a daughter, Mrs. N. Finnegan, of Emmettsburg, to mourn the death of a most loving mother.

Beside these there are a host of friends throughout the county who will mourn the loss of a kina and noble woman. The funeral will occur form the Catholic church at Garnavillo today.
