Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 23, for Charley Christ Peuker Sr., at the Witt chapel, Elkader, at 2 p.m., with Mrs. William B. Allyn, First Reader of Christian Science Society, in charge.

Burial was at the Garnavillo cemetery. Pallbearers were: Harold Dryer, John Thien, James McLane, Guy Coonfare, Realto Berns and William Kruse.

Charley Christ Peuker, son of John and Lena Rau Peuker, was born April 10, 1882, in Volga Township, Clayton County, and died Sunday, Dec. 20, 1959, at his home in Garber.

Mr. Peuker was married to Anna Pohlman April 24, 1907. The Peukers celebrated their golden anniversary in 1957.

He attended the Volga country school and chose farming as his vocation.

He is survived by an only son. Charles A. Peucker Jr., Farmersburg; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Katie Rantzow, Garnavillo, and Mrs. Emma Sadewasser, Mason City.
