Clayton County Register, Thur., 10 Dec. 1959.

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 7, 1959, at 9:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Parish of Littleport, for Mrs. Theresa Madden. Father Kissling of Garber officiated. Burial was at Sacred Heart cemetery at Littleport.

Pallbearers were Lowell Zapf, Walter Reimer, H. H. Liddy, Clarence Kuehl, Earnest Harbaugh and John Wiley.

Theresa, daughter of Anton and Katherine Kafer, was born Nov. 19, 1883, and died after a short illness on Dec. 4, 1959, at the Memorial Hospital in Manchester.

She was married to Thomas Madden of Littleport, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Meese, Edgewood, and two sons, Col. J. C. Madden, Camp Breckenridge, Ky., and Clarence Madden, Lawton, Okla.; also five grandchildren, Clarence Madden Jr., J. P. Madden and Cheryl Madden of Lawton, Okla., Tom Meese of Cedar Rapids and Terry Meese of Edgewood; and two great-grandchildren, Michael and Vicky Lynn Meese of Cedar Rapids.
