Reverend Harold McMillan officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
Keith Eddie Mohs was the son of Elmer and Esther (Doerring) Mohs. Keith was born May 19, 1937 on the family farm in rural Luana, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Luana and graduated from the Luana High School in 1955. He married Fern Koehn on July 21, 1960 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monona, Iowa. They are the parents of three sons.
Keith will always be remembered as a MFL Mar-Mac School bus driver. He truly loved driving the softball girls in the summer. He had no greater joy in life than watching his grand-kids participate in extra-curricular activities. Keith was a Luana Councilman and served as mayor for many years. He was also a volunteer fireman for the Luana Fire Department. Keith enjoyed food. He loved traveling to the "Haystack" meals served by the Amish and tailgating at the football games. He never got cheated when it came to food.
Keith had various occupations during his lifetime including driving truck, owning the Luana Tavern, working at Monona Coop, and at Cargill in McGregor as well as his bus driving duties. You could not travel anywhere without somebody knowing Keith. Even if he didn't know someone, Keith would still strike up a conversation. He loved to visit and play cards with family and friends. Keith was an avid Hawkeye and Viking fan.
Keith is survived by his wife, Fern, of Monona, Iowa; three sons Jeff (Denise Imoehl) Mohs of Monona, Tim (Jacque) Mohs of Winterset, Iowa, and Brad (Melissa) Mohs of Fredericksburg, Iowa; eleven grandchildren Bob (Nikki), Stefanie, Jake (Sarah), Dillon, Dallas, Kelsey, Kara, Casey, Gage, Gunner, and Gabbie; five great-grandchildren; and one brother Marvin (Juanita) Mohs of Luana.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents.
