Wilhelmina Rosina Otdoerfer, 89, died at her home Sunday afternoon, April 5, at 1:30 following a long illness. Born Sept. 29, 1863, at Platteville, Wis., she was the daughter of William and Wilhelmina Opperman Nodurft. She had a grade school education and was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church. On June 26, 1884, she was married to George H. Otdoerfer at St. Sebald Lutheran church and they made their home in this area. Her husband died March 5, 1940. Her sister, Mrs. Marie Longhenry has lived with her for the past years.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons, 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and her sister, Mrs. Longhenry. Her sons are Sigmund and Herman, both of Strawberry Point, and the daughters are Mrs. August (Sabina) Druecker, Strawberry Point; Mrs. John C. (Mary) Fredrick, Arlington; and Mrs. Arthur (Elsie) Manson, Independence. She was preceded in death by her husband, three infant daughters, five brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 at the Gill chapel and at 2 at Emanuel Lutheran church, the Rev. S. J. Meyer, pastor, Wednesday, April 8. Interment was in St. Sebald cemetery.
