Mrs. Wilma Mae Alt, nee Bahls, was born at Elkader, Iowa, May 4, 1928. She attended the Clayton school and graduated from the McGregor high school in 1946. She was confirmed in the Lutheran church in Clayton.

On May 10, 1952, Wilma Bahls and Clarion Alt were united in marriage at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church in Garnavillo. Following this marriage they made their home on a farm east of Garnavillo.

Mrs. Alt and her infant daughter, Kathy Clarene, died at the Prairie du Chien General Hospital on May 14, 1953.

She is survived by her husband, Clarion Alt; her parents, Mr. ad Mrs. Verni Bahls; one sister, Charlene Bahls; one brother, Scylvan Bahls; her grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Lahrs; her grandfather, Max Bahls; and numerous relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday afternoon, May 17, 1953, at 1:30 from the Garnavillo funeral home to St. Paul's Lutheran church. Interment was in the new Garnavillo cemetery. Pastor, L. C. Urlaub officiated at the services.
