Hangs Self While Visiting Sister,
Marvin Dykeman of Cedar Rapids was found dead in the basement of his sister's home in St Olaf last Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Dykeman who lived at 1334 C Street, S.W. in Cedar Rapids, were visiting Mrs. Dykeman's sister, Mrs. Montour of St. Olaf, at the time.
Mrs. Dykeman and Mrs. Montour found a note telling of his intent to kill himself, on the kitchen table when they returned from church and found the body in the basement.
Mr. Dykeman is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Edward Scott of Cedar Rapids, and a son, Sgt. William S. Dykeman who is serving in the air forces.
Funeral services will be held Thursday (today) and burial will be at McGregor.

Funeral services for Marvin Dykeman of Cedar Rapids was held from the Mrs. Mata Montour home at St. Olaf, Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Burial was at Pleasant Grove cemetery, McGregor. The Rev. Bodamer of Prairie du Chien had charge of the services.
