Garnavillo - James E. Vaughan, 39, died Friday night in Central Community Hospital, Elkader. The death is under investigation by the county medical examiner.

He had farmed, owned and operated Vaughan's Bar in Garnavillo and was a semi-trailer truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Karen; four sons, Philip of West Germany, and Anthony, Christopher and Jason, all at home; two brothers, Thomas of Los Angeles and Edward of Fairfax, VA.; two sisters, Mary Beth Buxton and Katie Vaughan, both of Chicago.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Tuecke- Allyn's. Burial: Garnavillo City Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
